The highly anticipated Google Pixel 10a is nearing its release, with the first official-looking render now surfacing. While earlier rumors suggested a late 2025 launch, it appears the device will arrive sooner. This latest leak follows previous CAD renders and a spec sheet reveal, offering a clear glimpse into Google's next budget-friendly smartphone.
The leaked render showcases the black color variant, expected to be named "Obsidian," a designation Google has used since the Pixel 6 series. True to Google's design philosophy for the 'a' series, the Pixel 10a will maintain a flat back and notably thick bezels, a characteristic also present in the higher-end Pixel 10 models. The phone will continue to sport two rear cameras and a front hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. This consistent design approach means the Pixel 11a is also expected to share the same aesthetic.
In line with its predecessor, the Pixel 10a's internal specifications are also set to be remarkably similar to the Pixel 9a. The display will remain a 6.3-inch panel (specifically 6.285 inches, rounded up), featuring a 120Hz refresh rate that can drop to 60Hz, though it won't be a full LTPO display.
Under the hood, the device will come equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with a 256GB option likely to be available. Powering the phone is a 5,100mAh battery, which will support 23W wired charging. While the chipset wasn't detailed in the December listing, previous leaks indicate it will house a souped-up Tensor G4 processor, a slightly enhanced version compared to the chips in the main Pixel 10 series.
Google is targeting a Spring release for the Pixel 10a, with a launch anticipated around March or April. This timing mirrors the Pixel 9a's announcement in March, although the Pixel 9a faced a slight delay into April due to unspecified manufacturing issues.
