Sales of AI wearables now include rings, not just pendants and wristbands. The newest is the Stream Ring from Sandbar, a firm set up by ex-CTRL-Labs staff. Wearers murmur thoughts, notes or talk - the ring records plus later writes out every word, even in a noisy room.
To start the microphone, the wearer presses a small button on the ring - it never listens on its own. every sound file is locked with encryption - changed into text inside the phone app. The shell is water safe aluminum and resin. A single touch pauses a song or a voice memo - two taps jump to the next track - a short slide raises or lowers volume.
A private bot called "Inner Voice" copies the owner's speech style but also talks back with clear questions and answers - it feels less like a random bot and more like a mirror of the wearer's own thoughts.
The ring links to headphones through Bluetooth - yet it does not need them for notes. It runs all day and powers up on a small disc.
Pre-orders cost two hundred forty nine dollars for silver as well as two hundred ninety nine dollars for gold - units reach the U.S. in summer 2026. The free phone app stores unlimited notes - the ten dollar Pro plan each month adds deeper tools and new items first.
