Recent reports indicate that Bethesda plans to create a remaster of the 2008 RPG *Fallout 3*. After *The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion Remastered* launched successfully, observers speculate that *Fallout 3* will gain updated visuals and performance upgrades. The original release appeared on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360; critics praised it and sales exceeded multiple million units. Xbox Series X|S owners now run the game through backward compatibility with modest frame rate boosts - yet no bespoke modern port or official remaster has shipped. The rumor spread when Bethesda's Todd Howard stated in an interview that the studio handles *Fallout 76*, *The Elder Scrolls 6* and “some other things.” The company lists *Fallout 5* only as a distant project plus issued a new generation patch for *Fallout 4* last month - still, talk of a *Fallout 3* remaster persists. At present Bethesda has revealed no official information or release date for such a product. Several independent sources repeat the claim - fans maintain hope of returning to the Capital Wasteland with up-to-date improvements.
