For years, people who wanted to move from one streaming service to another had to copy every song by hand or trust small third party programs that often failed. Spotify now offers a feature that solves this problem - users can bring playlists from Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora besides SoundCloud straight into the Spotify mobile app.
The tool is built into the app, not added later and it places no cap on the number of songs or playlists. It leaves the original lists untouched and merely duplicates them inside Spotify. People who own large or rare collections no longer risk losing work when they change services.
Once the playlists land in Spotify, the service's recommendation system reads the new track list plus tunes Daylist or Release Radar to the user's taste. Premium subscribers may invite others to edit the imported playlists, change cover images or set up smooth song transitions.
The built in transfer tool removes the usual pain of switching platforms and gives listeners better, more personal results without limits.
