How to Play Co-op Multiplayer in Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet presents a large Wuxia world for you to explore with friends. You may play alone - yet joining others for quests and boss fights increases enjoyment. This guide explains how to unlock and begin a co op session.

Unlocking Multiplayer

You must reach level 10 before the multiplayer option becomes available. Advance through the main story quests to gain experience. To speed up leveling, finish side quests and defeat enemies in the starting zones.

How to Play with Friends

After you reach level 10, locate the Mode Switch button at the top of the screen - it shows a person in a pointed hat. Two choices appear:

Online Mode: The game behaves like an MMO and displays other players in the world.
Solo/Co-Op Mode: You host a private session for friends.

To invite friends into a private session, perform the following steps:

Select the Mode Switch button.
Pick Solo/Co-Op Mode in the bottom right corner.
Press the Invite Visitors button.

You may invite friends directly through their platform (Steam or PSN) or create a co op code for cross platform play. A party holds up to five players, yourself included.

Co-op Restrictions

Note the limits of co op play. You must complete main story missions alone. Many other content - side quests, dungeons and open-world exploration - supports full co op.

The game does not scale levels. The session difficulty matches the host's level. A high level friend defeats tough foes for you with ease - yet entering a much higher level host's world becomes difficult.
