Paralives Early Access: A Guide to Launch Features

Paralives, the life simulation game that many treat as a rival to The Sims 4, will soon appear on Steam in Early Access. The developers have issued a roadmap that tells players what functions they will see on the first day and what will arrive in later patches. The list below shows every feature that will be active at launch.

What the Early Access build contains on day one

When you open Paralives you will find the following systems already working:

The Paramaker: Character creation will be extensive - many face sliders, body sliders plus colour choices will be ready to use. Some haircuts and clothing items will arrive later.
Core life simulation: You must keep track of each Parafolk's needs, short term wishes, long term life goals but also job progress.
Basic social play: Two Paras may meet, become friends, fall in love or argue. Phone calls and event invitations will not function in the first build.
Build mode: A wide set of walls, floors, furniture as well as decorative objects will be ready - you may construct and furnish a house right away.
Modding support: The game will read custom packages from launch day onward - every player may write, publish or install mods without extra tools.

What will arrive after launch

The team stresses that the product is early access and will change for months. Weddings or funerals are absent for now. The town will contain few venues at first - the developers will add more activities in later patches.

During the first two years of early access the studio expects to release cars, drivable roads, pets and detailed parenting rules. Build mode will gain tools for basements, pools also adjustable staircases.

Every update, large or small, will cost nothing once you own the base game. The developers intend to adjust the experience according to player feedback and to layer new content on top of the initial code base.
