Kia plans to release a new Telluride SUV. The company will show the 2027 model for the first time at the 2025 Los Angeles auto show. Ahead of that date, Kia released pictures of the X-Pro version, which is built for off road use. The new Telluride will reach dealers next year.

The 2027 Telluride is larger than the current one - it measures 2.3 inches longer and one inch taller. The distance between the front plus rear axles is almost three inches longer, which gives passengers more room inside. Designers call the shape “unapologetically boxy,” yet the sides are smoother and the door handles sit flush with the body - they extend once the doors unlock. The front keeps the vertical lights that mark the Telluride line, but the main LED headlights are smaller but also join the grille. The X-Pro model has its own grille, a rugged front bumper with usable tow hooks and one extra inch of ground clearance.

The dashboard now holds one wide screen, a layout already used in other new Kia cars. Kia reduced the number of knobs as well as buttons - most tasks move to the touchscreen. The few buttons that remain are big and easy to read. The center console has large handholds or a storage box that opens with a drawer - rear passengers reach this drawer from the back. The X-Pro cabin calls its trim “engineered carbon fiber.” Buyers choose seven or eight seats. A button moves the second row seat forward - people reach the third row more easily.

Kia has not released official mechanical data. Industry sources expect the powertrains to match those of the new Hyundai Palisade. The list would include a 287-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine and a 329-horsepower hybrid system. Front-wheel drive also all-wheel drive are expected. Kia will publish complete specifications when it presents the full Telluride range.
