Kia has released the first clear photos of the redesigned 2027 Telluride, ahead of its official unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This second generation, three row SUV has a larger, boxier body and a sharper design that borrows cues from the all electric Kia EV9.
The new body is almost square, with flat panels and subtly bulging fenders. The SUV is 2.3 inches longer and 1 inch taller plus its wheelbase has grown by 3 inches. That extra length should give passengers more room. Many versions receive a grille that is partially closed and filled with upright bars. The X-Pro trim aimed at rough trails swaps that for a block pattern grille, visible tow loops, taller roof rails, off road tires and 9.1 inches of ground clearance.
The cabin also follows the EV9 layout. A single rectangular panel houses two 12.3-inch digital displays. The steering wheel has been restyled and the former console gear lever is gone - a stalk mounted selector now handles gear changes freeing up space between the front seats.
Kia will confirm the powertrains at the show, but the previous V6 is expected to retire. Reports indicate two replacements - a 3.5-liter V6 and, for the first time in the model, a plug in hybrid that pairs a turbocharged 2.5-liter four cylinder with an electric motor. A fully electric version will not appear - the EV9 already covers that segment.
North American dealers should receive the 2027 Telluride early in 2026. Full technical details will follow during the LA Auto Show, which runs from November 21 - 30.
