The 2027 Jeep Renegade receives a targeted exterior refresh primarily for the South American market. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, and new plastic cladding has been applied. These changes slightly increase the vehicle's overall length to 4,270 mm and improve its approach and departure angles for off-road situations. The traditional seven-slot grille features minor aerodynamic adjustments. Notably, the range-topping Trailhawk trim has been replaced by the Willys trim, which comes with exclusive red bumper accents, special decals, and 17-inch all-terrain tires.
The most substantial changes are found inside the cabin. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, taking clear inspiration from the larger Jeep Compass. A new 10.1-inch touchscreen is now mounted higher on the dash for improved visibility and ergonomics. Wireless connectivity for smartphones is standard across the board, while select trims gain an upgraded infotainment system that includes integrated Alexa. Practicality is also enhanced with the addition of rear air vents and a cooled wireless charging pad for compatible devices.
Yes, the 2027 update introduces an electrified powertrain to the lineup. The Longitude and Sahara trims now feature an enhanced 1.3-liter turbo flex-fuel engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This system assists the engine to improve efficiency but does not power the vehicle on its own. The power output remains at 176 hp, sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. This configuration results in a claimed 7% improvement in city fuel efficiency and an 8% reduction in CO2 emissions. The base Altitude and top-tier Willys trims continue with the non-electrified 1.3-liter engine.
This facelift is a strategic move to maintain the Renegade's competitiveness, particularly in markets like Brazil where Jeep is also introducing the smaller Avenger model. The pricing structure has been adjusted, with the entry-level model becoming more affordable to attract a wider range of buyers. This refresh serves as a bridge until an all-new generation Renegade arrives. The next generation, expected in Europe by 2027 and later in South America, will be built on a new Stellantis platform and is set to offer multiple powertrain options, reflecting a broader market strategy.
