The upcoming Paris Motor Show in October is set to be a major event, with automotive group Stellantis preparing to reveal several new vehicles from its key brands, signaling a major push across different market segments.

What can we expect from Fiat?

Fiat is expected to present the production versions of two new family SUVs, likely based on the Giga Panda and Fastback concepts. These models are built on the "Smart Car" platform, which is a longer version of the architecture used for the smaller Grande Panda. Their primary role is to compete in the budget-friendly family SUV market against vehicles like the Dacia Bigster. These new Fiats are anticipated to be available in the UK by early 2025.

Is Lancia introducing a new model?

Yes, Lancia will unveil the Gamma. While the name comes from a classic coupe, the new Gamma is a modern SUV that shares its core structure with the DS No7. Buyers will have a choice between petrol and fully electric versions. The electric model is projected to offer a substantial range of approximately 460 miles on a single charge. Its design will likely feature styling elements seen on the smaller Lancia Ypsilon, such as its distinct cross-shaped front lighting.

Are there other new vehicles from the Stellantis group?

Citroën will display a new concept car. Following the brand's recent direction, this vehicle is expected to showcase ideas for practical, affordable, and sustainable transportation. Additionally, the Paris show will mark the European debut of the Leapmotor B03. Stellantis holds a significant share in this Chinese brand. The B03 is an electric car designed to compete with the Volkswagen ID 3 and will be offered with two power outputs: 94 or 121 horsepower.

What does this lineup say about Stellantis's strategy?

This diverse lineup highlights a multi-faceted strategy. With its French origins, Stellantis is using the Paris show to assert its market presence. The new Fiats target the high-volume family SUV segment, while the Lancia Gamma pushes into the premium electric market with a focus on long range. The introduction of Leapmotor demonstrates a strategy of leveraging partnerships to compete in the growing electric vehicle sector. This approach allows Stellantis to cover multiple price points and customer needs effectively.
