Brabus has presented its first custom builds based on the latest Lamborghini Urus SE, introducing two models: the 900 Mint and the 900 Superblack. Both SUVs begin with the updated plug-in hybrid version of the Urus. After tuning, each produces 888 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of torque, utilizing a Brabus-upgraded twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with an electric motor. These SUVs accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 3.2 seconds. The top speed remains at 312 km/h (194 mph), identical to the base Urus SE.
The 900 Superblack starts at €544,098 (about $645,600), and the 900 Mint is priced from €583,071 (about $691,900).
Both models feature Brabus-specific exterior changes including a new front splitter, intake garnish, widened fender flares, a prominent rear spoiler, and a revised rear diffuser housing four exhaust outlets. The Mint model stands out with its pastel green color scheme across body and interior, while the Superblack uses carbon fiber styling parts for a bold look.
Both vehicles ride on 24-inch Monoblock Z Platinum Edition forged wheels with a ten-spoke design. The Brabus SportXtra suspension module lowers the SUV by up to 20 mm, enhancing stability and visual stance. The cabin features luxury materials such as quilted leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber, fully adapted to each model’s exterior color.
Brabus’ move to tune the Urus signals a trend toward high-performance hybrid SUVs tailored for an exclusive audience. Compared to rivals like the Mansory Venatus, the Brabus Urus achieves similar power but is less costly and slightly slower in acceleration. The Mint and Superblack models aim at buyers seeking striking visual identity combined with Brabus’ known performance and interior craftsmanship.
Lamborghini’s Urus was already positioned as a premium, high-powered SUV, and Brabus’ tuning exceeds the factory’s own specifications while retaining the hybrid setup’s practicality. These models target car enthusiasts desiring uniqueness and top-tier performance in their daily driver.
A plug-in hybrid vehicle uses both a gasoline engine and an electric motor to drive the wheels. Brabus’ LG40-900 performance upgrade modifies the engine control systems and adds hardware changes, increasing the V8’s power. The suspension module electronically lowers the ride height, improving handling and appearance. Carbon fiber, used in the exterior trim, is a strong yet lightweight material favored in high-performance cars for both function and style.
Brabus’ conversion maintains the hybrid’s benefits—like better fuel economy—while emphasizing speed, style, and exclusivity. The difference in the Mint and Superblack lies mainly in their presentation and color themes, catering to varying personal tastes in the luxury SUV market.
