Samsung has updated its Art TV series for 2026, presenting two distinct models: the standard Frame TV and the premium Frame Pro. While both continue the brand's vision of a television that doubles as a piece of art, they now cater to different user preferences through key hardware distinctions. Both models will be available in sizes ranging from 55 to 85 inches.

Core Differences in Connectivity and Display

The most significant change in the 2026 lineup involves the connection interface. The standard Frame TV now integrates all its connection ports directly into the chassis, forgoing the separate One Connect Box used in previous versions. To facilitate access to these ports after mounting, the included Slim Fit Wall Mount features a hinge mechanism. In contrast, the Frame Pro retains a separate box, upgrading to a Wireless One Connect Box that can transmit a signal from up to 30 feet away, allowing for a cleaner installation with no visible cables running to the screen.

Display technology also marks a clear separation between the two models. The Frame Pro is equipped with a Neo QLED 4K panel, which delivers brighter colors, sharper contrast, and deeper black levels characteristic of Samsung's higher-end displays. While the standard Frame also features a 4K resolution, the Pro model's Neo QLED technology positions it as the superior option for picture quality.

Shared Advancements Across the Lineup

Despite their differences, both the Frame and Frame Pro share several key upgrades. Both models feature an improved Glare Free matte display, designed to reduce reflections in well-lit rooms and enhance the realistic appearance of displayed artwork. Access to Samsung's Art Store, with its library of over 5,000 pieces, remains a central feature for both.

On the software and performance front, the 2026 models are aligned. They run on the One UI Tizen OS, with a promise of up to seven years of operating system updates. For audio, the new AI Sound Controller Pro allows for granular control over different audio elements. Gamers will find both models capable, with support for Motion Xcelerator at 144Hz, which can be boosted to 240Hz when connected to a PC. The Frame Pro is currently available, while the standard Frame model is scheduled for release at a later date.
