Samsung is set to make waves at CES 2026 with the introduction of its new Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 Wi-Fi speakers. Designed in collaboration with French designer Erwan Bouroullec, these speakers aim to blend minimalist aesthetics with advanced audio technology, offering a unique alternative for audiophiles and design enthusiasts alike.
Samsung's latest audio offerings, the Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7, are designed to stand out not just for their sound quality but also for their striking visual appeal. Collaborating with Erwan Bouroullec, known for his contemporary interior design work, Samsung has crafted speakers that embody a "timeless dot concept." This minimalist approach, which some observers have likened to the iconic monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey," aims to integrate seamlessly into modern living spaces.
The Music Studio 7 is positioned as the most immersive model in the series. It boasts a 3.1.1-channel spatial audio setup, featuring left, front, right, and top-firing speakers to create a rich soundstage. For audiophiles, the speaker supports up to 24-bit audio processing at 96 kHz. Additionally, it offers the capability to be paired with other Samsung Wi-Fi speakers for an expanded audio system.
Designed with homes where visual coherence is paramount, the Music Studio 5 is a more compact option. It incorporates a 4-inch woofer and two tweeters. A key feature shared with the Music Studio 7 is Samsung's AI Dynamic Bass Control, engineered to enhance low-frequency response while minimizing distortion, ensuring a balanced sound profile.
Both the Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 come equipped with versatile connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth casting. Voice control is also integrated, providing users with convenient ways to manage their audio experience. While these features are becoming standard, their inclusion ensures a modern and user-friendly interface.
These new speakers are primarily focused on their aesthetic qualities, appealing to those who appreciate minimalist design. Currently, they are available only in black, reinforcing their sleek and understated look. While pricing details are yet to be announced, it is anticipated that these premium speakers will reflect their sophisticated design and advanced features. Full details are expected to be revealed at CES 2026.
