Samsung built every Galaxy S25 around a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip because its own factories could not deliver enough Exynos parts. Analysts still expect the next Galaxy S26 to carry Samsung's own processor, the Exynos 2600.
Qualcomm's chief, Cristiano Amon, recently told investors that his planners count on “75 % of any new Galaxy” for their revenue forecast. Observers read that as a hint that Exynos might stay out of the spotlight.
The 75 % figure is not a product announcement - it is a financial safety line. Qualcomm uses last year's splits - barring the S25's all-Snapdragon exception - as a cautious number for its earnings guidance. Qualcomm has no authority to reveal Samsung's chip plans.
Whether Exynos returns depends on concrete results - Samsung must prove that its upgraded plants deliver a processor that matches or beats Snapdragon in speed and battery life. The Exynos 2600 is Samsung's bid to re enter the premium market - its real world scores will decide how many regional models receive it.
In short, Qualcomm's remarks did not alter expectations. Industry watchers still anticipate a two chip Galaxy S26, with the Exynos 2600 re appearing in selected markets. The contest between the two silicon suppliers remains open.
