Google now lists the Pixel 10 at $200 below its previous tag. Shoppers pay $599 for the 128 GB model and $699 for the 256 GB model. The new numbers place the phone in the upper middle price band. Google wants a larger slice of US phone sales. Earlier Pixel phones earned good reviews yet sold in modest numbers. The price cut gives the hardware stronger appeal against rival models. For $599 the buyer receives three rear cameras - main, ultrawide and - for the first time on a base Pixel - telephoto. The phone also adopts the Qi2 magnetic wireless charging standard. Magnets align the handset on the pad, which improves power transfer and reduces heat. The device ships with Android in an uncluttered state. Google pledges seven years of OS and security updates, a longer window than most brands offer. Taken together the extended camera range, magnetic wireless charge, long update policy plus new lower price create a high value package for users who want flagship grade features without the usual flagship price.
