Fitbit is enhancing its AI-powered health coach, Coach, making more features available to its free subscribers. Previously limited to Premium members, these new additions aim to provide a more comprehensive health tracking experience for a wider user base. The expansion leverages Google's Gemini AI to offer personalized insights and tools for fitness, sleep, and overall well-being.
Fitbit announced that its personal AI health coach, Coach, which is powered by Google's Gemini AI, will now offer additional features to all subscribers. Initially launched in October for US Android Premium subscribers, the service has since expanded globally and to iOS users. The latest update brings a suite of new tools designed to support users' health journeys.

Users without a Premium membership can access these enhanced features through the product's Public Preview. This allows them to track their health, fitness, and sleep data. Additionally, users can test future Fitbit app features that are not yet live and provide feedback to Google. Premium subscribers will continue to receive more advanced benefits, such as personalized fitness plans and the ability to ask Coach specific questions.
