Preorders for "Pokemon Pokopia" are open this day. The game costs 70 USD and arrives on 5 March 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2. Everyone who orders early receives a Ditto-shaped rug inside the game.

What the Game Is About

"Pokemon Pokopia" drops the usual catch-and-battle loop. It asks you to build a safe home for Pokemon after people have vanished. You control a Ditto that copies human form. With the help of the lone survivor, Professor Tangrowth, you reshape the empty land plus persuade wild Pokemon to come back.

How You Play

The map is wide open. By turning into strong Pokemon like Lapras or Dragonite, you cross oceans and mountains. You pick up wood stone but also other supplies then build bridges, workshops and shelters. Each finished project raises the area's appeal as well as brings new Pokemon to stay.

Physical Copy

The boxed version holds only a Game Key Card. Insert the card then download the full 10 GB file. The card is not locked to one console - you may sell it later. If you need room for the download, a microSD Express card adds space. Retailers already cut prices on storage and on Switch 2 bundles that include Mario Kart.
