Treyarch has added a new post campaign mode to the Call of Duty - Black Ops 7 campaign. The purpose is to give players more reasons to replay the campaign and to add extra story content after launch. This guide shows every step needed to open plus play the new mode.

How to Unlock the Endgame

Finish the 11 main missions in order. After the credits roll, mission 12 appears. Completing it opens the endgame.

Other players in your party do not need to finish the campaign. If anyone in the group has cleared mission 12, that player can host and invite the rest.

What to Expect in the Endgame

The endgame takes place on Avalon, a large open world map that supports up to 32 players in a single PvE match. The structure borrows from Modern Warfare 2's DMZ but also from Zombies - you enter alone or with a squad of up to four, accept missions that carry high risk and high reward - escape alive. Death on Avalon removes every weapon, item and piece of gear you carried in - you respawn with nothing.

Customization and Progression

Pick a main campaign character or design your own operator. Bring standard tools like a grappling hook besides Active Camo or equip a new endgame only ability called Shadow Break - an area blast that knocks enemies back. The Avalon map reuses locations from Black Ops 7 as well as from earlier games - each location has four difficulty levels. Higher levels require a higher character level to survive. Account-level experience, unique weapon camos and battle-pass progress all count while you play in this mode.
