Microsoft recently asked people who test Xbox features to rate how ‘Ghost of Yotei’ felt to play, even though that game only runs on PlayStation 5 right now. Word of the questionnaire spread fast across forums and chat groups.
The message reached a small group of Xbox testers - it asked how many hours they spent with the Sucker Punch adventure, how much fun it delivered, how hard it felt at the start plus whether the challenge rose or fell as the story moved forward.
Xbox owners now wonder aloud if the adventure might one day appear on their machines. Twitter threads besides Reddit posts fill up with hope that PlayStation's star titles will land on Xbox hardware and hand out achievement points.
Yet a survey is not a promise. Xbox ran the same kind of questionnaire for ‘God of War’ and ‘Astrobot’ but also those games never left PlayStation. The simpler read is that the company wants numbers on what players love - its own studios might copy the ideas that earn praise.
‘Ghost of Yotei’ on an Xbox is still a long shot, but the poll proves that Microsoft watches rival hits and keeps notes on the ingredients that turn a release into a crowd pleaser.
