Fans who crave a pixel art fight against Skynet must wait again. The 2-D run-and-gun game Terminator 2D - No Fate has slipped once more - players who want to shield John Connor need extra patience.
Publisher Reef Entertainment and developer Bitmap Bureau wrote on Steam that the game will now launch on December 12 for both boxed and download copies. They say the holdup comes from finishing the physical boxes and manuals, even though the discs are already pressed.
The team already moved the release twice. The first date fell off the calendar early this year - the second slipped from Halloween to late November because of import taxes. After this third shuffle, supporters hope no further setbacks follow.
Reef's note thanks players for staying calm: “We value your patience plus regret each delay. We want to hand you the game you expect and we are nearly at that point.”
The plot loosely follows Terminator 2: Judgment Day. You guide the T-800 and Sarah Connor in 1995 - fight as an adult John Connor during the future war. If December 12 sticks, everyone will learn whether the long stretch was worth it.
