How to Learn Psycho Cut in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Psycho Cut is a strong Psychic-type attack that you must have to finish Side Mission 87, "Becoming a Peerless Furfrou Trimmer," in Pokemon Legends - Z-A. This guide lists every Pokemon that gains the move through level-up and explains how to add one of them to your party.

The game contains no TM for Psycho Cut. Only Pokemon that reach the listed level will receive the move. Catch and raise one of the following:

Kadabra / Alakazam: gains the move at level 20
Honedge / Doublade / Aegislash: gains the move at level 22
Inkay / Malamar: gains the move at level 33
Metang / Metagross: gains the move at level 34
Gallade: gains the move at level 42

For the earliest possible Psycho Cut, go to the rooftops in Wild Zone 1. Catch an Abra there. Raise it until it evolves into Kadabra. Kadabra learns Psycho Cut at level 20.

A Note on Absol

Earlier games let Absol learn Psycho Cut. In Pokemon Legends - Z-A, Absol never learns the move. Do not train Absol if you need Psycho Cut.
