In Arc Raiders, Hornet drones belong to the most stubborn threats. Killing one yields a component named a Hornet Driver that multiple quests need - Raiders must learn how to find and destroy them. The job goes faster when you study their attack pattern plus their weak points. Hornets appear above almost every open zone - they share airspace with Wasps. Because they patrol large loops, a quest may ask you to locate a single Hornet and you can waste time searching the sky until you spot the right one. When the drone detects you, its red targeting laser locks on. A shockwave follows the beam - the burst strips shields but also health in seconds. Keep moving. Sprint for cover or use dodge rolls. Mobility-branch talents that raise stamina improve the odds of staying alive. The body of a Hornet contains thick armor. Light ammunition bounces off without effect. Equip a rifle or other medium/heavy-caliber weapon. Two propellers power the craft - destroy them and the machine loses lift and slams into the ground. The crash usually finishes the kill - point your aim at those rotors. Loot the wreck to claim the Hornet Driver. Each successful hunt removes a threat, secures a key quest item as well as pushes your campaign forward. Grab a strong weapon, shoot the propellers and drive the drones out of the sky.
