Finding the best weapon or shield drives every Borderlands journey. Borderlands 4 revives a popular feature that helps players obtain that gear - Shift codes. Those serial numbers exchange for strong items and remain essential for anyone who wants the best possible load out.

Gearbox posts fresh 25-digit Shift codes for the public every few days. A code redeems for one or more Golden Keys. Players spend a key at any Golden Chest found in safe hubs like Belton's Bore, The Launchpad besides Carcadia. Each chest produces multiple pieces of rare, high level equipment. A few limited codes also hand out exclusive heads, skins or room decorations.

The Shift program started with Borderlands 2 plus now forms a standard part of the series. It lets the studio hand out free rewards and keeps the audience watching social media for new code releases. For users the result is extra power at no cost, handy during difficult boss fights or newly added missions.

Create a free Shift account on the Gearbox site before you redeem. Type the code there or open the Social menu inside the game but also enter it. Golden Chest loot matches the level of the character that opens the chest. Save the keys until late levels if you want the weapons to stay relevant for more hours of play.

The return of Shift codes in Borderlands 4 shows Gearbox plans to support the game for months. A small code drop appears every week giving players a reason to launch the title again and keeping the user base active long after the final story mission.
