The 2026 Hyundai Staria preserves its futuristic appearance with only subtle exterior changes. The most prominent update is the continuous full-width LED light bar at the front. The Staria logos are now engraved on the sides, offering a refined look. Lower headlights have been neatly integrated, and cooling intakes feature a new pattern. Higher trims, such as the Lounge version, display a grille with chrome elements, visually separated from the bumper’s lower intake. Newly introduced paint options include Classy Blue Pearl and, for the Lounge trim, Galaxy Maroon Pearl.
Inside, improvements focus on technology and user experience. The digital instrument panel and central infotainment screen have both grown from 10.25 inches to 12.3 inches. The new software can be updated over-the-air, ensuring easy access to future enhancements. Hyundai has revised the dashboard, which now features improved climate vents and an additional storage tray. The center console now uses more physical buttons instead of touch-sensitive controls, enhancing usability. The steering wheel is redesigned, and the Lounge trim introduces an electronic column shift and a driver’s seat auxiliary handle for easier entry. Upholstery options have expanded, and more advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) now come as standard.
Under the hood, the powertrain lineup remains consistent with the previous model. The range includes a non-electrified 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 237 hp and capable of running on LPG, and a self-charging hybrid setup combining a 1.6-liter turbo engine with an electric motor for a combined 242 hp. A fully electric variant is expected but not yet released. Hyundai has enhanced acoustic insulation for a quieter cabin and introduced a revised suspension system. Subframe bushings and, specifically for the Lounge trim, hydro bushings, contribute to a smoother, quieter ride.
The Staria’s flexible seating options continue, with layouts from two-seater work models to four-row, eleven-seat configurations catering to families and commercial users. These varying setups highlight the minivan’s practical nature, making it adaptable for both personal and business transportation.
Hyundai positions the Staria as a modern, multi-functional minivan designed for efficiency and practicality. Its direct rivals include other large people carriers with advanced technology packages. By retaining core mechanicals but refreshing key user touchpoints and ride comfort, Hyundai addresses changing consumer expectations in this segment. At a starting price of about $22,000 in South Korea and up to $33,000 for higher trims, the Staria remains competitive among minivans with advanced tech and upgraded comfort. Global availability is anticipated, positioning the Staria among automotive choices prioritizing technology, customization, and passenger comfort.
