Bentley's upcoming all-electric Urban SUV has been spotted undergoing winter testing, revealing a cleaner exterior design and, for the first time, a clear view of its interior. The latest spy shots showcase a cabin heavily influenced by Porsche, particularly with a prominent curved OLED display, while also incorporating familiar controls from other Volkswagen Group models.
The latest prototypes show Bentley's first full EV shedding its earlier disguise. The camouflage has been streamlined, and production lighting units are now visible, offering a much clearer look at the vehicle's silhouette. While the overall shape remains consistent with previous sightings, the uncovered doors and refined wrap present a cleaner aesthetic than earlier, more heavily disguised versions.
The most significant reveal comes from the interior shots. A large, curved OLED display dominates the dashboard, a clear nod to Porsche's 'Flow Display' found in the Cayenne. This integration is logical given that both vehicles share the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture.
Beyond the central display, the cabin incorporates elements common across the VW Group. A multi-function stalk on the left, first seen in the Audi Q3, and a transmission selector on the right, similar to that in the VW ID.4, are evident. Despite these shared components, Bentley's signature luxury is apparent through the use of rich leather, polished metal accents, and a distinctive steering wheel design featuring black, red, and chrome detailing.
Bentley's CEO has previously confirmed plans for a substantial battery size and rapid charging capabilities. The company claims the Urban SUV will be able to add approximately 100 miles (160 km) of range in just seven minutes. Performance is anticipated to be on par with, or even surpass, the electric Porsche Cayenne's offerings, which range from 402 hp (300 kW) in the base model to a staggering 1,039 hp (850 kW) in the top-tier Turbo variant. Bentley's base powertrain is expected to be around 604 hp (450 kW), potentially aligning with a future Cayenne S EV model.
While the final name for the SUV remains unconfirmed, Bentley has trademarked "Mayon" and "Barnato," suggesting these as potential candidates. Production will take place in Crewe, with a reveal scheduled for the end of 2026 and customer deliveries expected to commence in 2027.
