Toyota displays a track ready electric vehicle at the SEMA Show. The following details cover the bZ Time Attack concept.
The concept is a race prepared variant of the updated Toyota bZ electric crossover. The standard 2026 bZ delivers 338 horsepower - the concept pushes output far beyond that figure. Engineers built the car to demonstrate the limits of the bZ platform and will reveal it at the SEMA Show.
A reinforced dual motor all-wheel-drive system sends more than 402 horsepower to the wheels. That figure exceeds the output of any production bZ.
A complete aero package adds a deep front splitter, side skirts, wider fenders, a rear diffuser plus a large rear wing. Ride height drops six inches and the track width grows six inches. Nineteen-inch BBS Unlimited wheels mount Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires. A custom three tone metallic-and-pearl paint scheme covers the body.
All non essential parts were removed to cut weight. A chromoly roll cage but also two OMP HTE-R racing seats remain. A new steering wheel is installed and the shift lever now sits on the dashboard within easier reach of the driver.
The chassis receives TEIN coilovers as well as matched springs. An Alcon brake system with Hawk performance pads replaces the stock brakes to cope with higher speeds and repeated track use.
