Recent spy photographs have confirmed the development of a higher-performance version of the Lamborghini Revuelto, expected to carry the 'SV' or 'Super Veloce' designation. This follows Lamborghini's tradition of releasing more powerful, track-focused versions of its flagship supercars. Here is a breakdown of what is currently known about this upcoming model.

What is the Revuelto SV?

The Revuelto SV will be the top-tier performance variant of the standard Revuelto. The 'Super Veloce' name, which translates to 'Super Fast,' is reserved for models that feature increased power, reduced weight, and enhanced aerodynamics. Prototypes have been seen testing with markings that read "Attenzione Macchina Veloce," which means "Caution: Fast Machine," directly signaling the car's high-performance nature.

How much more powerful will it be?

The standard Revuelto already combines a 6.5-liter V12 gasoline engine with three electric motors, a system known as a plug-in hybrid. This setup produces a total of 1,001 horsepower. While there is market speculation about the SV reaching as high as 1,184 horsepower, this is unconfirmed. For a more grounded expectation, the previous Aventador SV saw a power increase of 49 horsepower over its standard version. A similar, measured increase is more likely for the Revuelto SV, enhancing its already formidable output.

What are the design and aerodynamic changes?

The spy photos reveal significant modifications focused on improving airflow and downforce for better high-speed stability. The prototype features a more aggressive front bumper with a pronounced splitter, new air intakes, and a distinctive fin behind the front wheels. The most notable change is at the rear, which is fitted with a large, fixed wing. The exhaust system has also been revised, and new vents appear above the taillights. These are not just for looks; they are functional changes designed to improve track performance.

Will it be lighter than the standard model?

Weight reduction is a core principle of any SV model. It is expected that Lamborghini will remove non-essential components to save weight, which improves acceleration, braking, and handling. This typically includes replacing standard seats with lightweight sport seats and removing some sound-deadening materials and carpeting. There is also a possibility that optional features from the standard model, such as the 9.1-inch passenger-side display, could be removed to further reduce mass.
