This is the fully electric version of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. It marks a significant shift for the brand, as the car now competes directly with high-performance electric sedans like the Porsche Taycan. AMG has engineered a system to recreate the sensation of driving a combustion-engine car. This involves more than just sound. The vehicle uses a combination of technologies, including specially developed sounds that replicate a V8's roar, complete with revving and shifting noises. The driver interacts with simulated paddle shifters and views a digital rev counter. The performance is substantial. This model is the first to be built on AMG's new electric platform, known as AMG.EA. It is powered by three advanced axial-flux electric motors, which can produce a combined output of up to 1,341 horsepower. Drivers can also customize the car's behavior through settings for Throttle Response, Agility, and Traction.
