Genesis has unveiled the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite at the New York Auto Show, presenting a darker, sportier aesthetic for its popular compact luxury SUV. This new trim level builds upon the existing GV70 Sport Prestige, introducing subtle yet striking exterior enhancements and a surprisingly bold interior.
The Prestige Graphite variant distinguishes itself with a suite of dark exterior accents. This includes gloss black mirror caps and dark chrome trim that lends a more aggressive stance. The SUV rides on distinctive 21-inch alloy wheels, finished in a dark metallic hue that provides a striking contrast, especially when paired with the visible red brake calipers.
Genesis is offering the Prestige Graphite GV70 in four distinct exterior colors. Two new shades, Bering Blue and Ceres Blue Matte, are introduced for this model. Additionally, customers can opt for the established Makalu Gray or Uyuni White.
The cabin of the GV70 Prestige Graphite receives a significant upgrade, featuring Ultramarine Nappa leather seats with suede inserts. The headrests are embossed with the Genesis logo, adding a touch of premium detail. Carbon fiber trim is integrated throughout the interior, complementing the sporty theme. A unique start-up animation adds a personalized touch. Further enhancing the luxurious feel are red contrast stitching and piping, along with a suede headliner.
While Genesis has not detailed specific powertrain configurations for the Prestige Graphite, it is expected to carry over the existing options from the GV70 lineup. This includes a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. For those seeking more power, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 is available, delivering 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque.
Genesis has yet to announce the official pricing and availability for the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite. However, given that the G70 Prestige Graphite starts at $56,900, it is anticipated that the GV70 variant could be priced around $60,000 to $72,000, depending on the selected engine.
