DS Automobiles has officially revealed the DS No7, a new premium SUV set to replace the outgoing DS 7 model. Positioned to compete directly with established vehicles like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the No7 introduces a striking design language and a range of powertrain options, including fully electric and mild-hybrid variants. The vehicle is slated to begin sales later in 2026.
The exterior of the DS No7 draws heavily from the brand's recent design concepts, particularly the DS Aero Sport Lounge. It features an imposing front end and a profile inspired by the larger DS No8. A notable design element is the use of black cutaways in the roof, creating the illusion of a lower roofline while maintaining interior headroom. The rear is characterized by a large, L-shaped LED lighting signature. In terms of size, the No7 measures 4.66 meters in length, an increase of 7 centimeters over the DS 7, while its width and height remain unchanged at 1.90 meters and 1.63 meters, respectively.
The cabin environment mirrors the technological focus of the exterior. The dashboard is dominated by a dual-screen setup, comprising a 10-inch instrument display and a central 16-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Comfort is a primary consideration, highlighted by the inclusion of DS Active Scan Suspension. This system uses a camera to monitor the road surface ahead and preemptively adjusts each shock absorber to smooth out imperfections. Further enhancing passenger comfort, the seats offer heating, massaging, and a unique neck warmer function that directs warm air to the back of the neck.
The DS No7 is built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, which it shares with models like the Peugeot 3008. The lineup offers both electric and mild-hybrid choices. The electric vehicle (EV) range includes three versions. The standard front-wheel-drive model uses a 73.4kWh battery paired with a 227bhp motor, delivering a claimed range of up to 337 miles. A 'Long Range' model features a larger 97.2kWh battery and a 242bhp motor, extending the maximum range to 460 miles. At the top of the range, a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version produces a combined 345bhp and has a range of 422 miles. A mild-hybrid option will also be available, utilizing a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 143bhp.
With the No7, DS aims to strengthen its position in the competitive premium SUV market, with a particular focus on fleet sales in some regions. While official UK pricing has not been confirmed, initial estimates suggest a starting price of around £40,000. The first customer deliveries are expected to commence toward the end of 2026.
