Infiniti is set to unveil the 2027 QX65 crossover coupe later this month, aiming to recapture the spirit of its iconic FX model. This new two-row vehicle, based on the QX60 platform, promises a blend of sporty design and luxury features. The debut is scheduled for March 26, ahead of its arrival at dealerships this summer.
The upcoming QX65 is poised to make a significant statement in the luxury crossover market. A darkened teaser image offers a glimpse of its design, revealing a front end that shares cues with the QX60 but distinguishes itself with split lighting units, a unique front bumper, a revised lower intake, and a more prominent grille. The most striking changes are expected behind the A-pillar, where a rakish roofline and a compact greenhouse will define its coupe-like silhouette, complemented by an angular rear window and distinctive taillights.
Drawing from its QX60 sibling, the QX65's interior is anticipated to feature a sophisticated cabin. Expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system equipped with Google built-in. Higher trim levels may offer premium touches such as quilted seats, open-pore ash wood trim, and a Klipsch premium audio system.
Under the hood, the QX65 will launch with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and offer an available all-wheel-drive system. Rumors suggest that a more potent 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering around 300 horsepower, could be introduced later, with whispers of a performance-oriented Red Sport variant also circulating.
Infiniti has confirmed that the 2027 QX65 will be available to consumers starting early this summer, following its official reveal on March 26. The vehicle is expected to generate considerable interest as it aims to reignite the passion for the brand's distinctive crossover coupe heritage.
