German tuning firm Senner Tuning offers a comprehensive upgrade package for the BMW M2 CS. It serves as an alternative for owners seeking more than what BMW’s optional M Performance Track Kit provides. The package focuses on increasing engine output, refining the chassis for better handling, and adding distinct carbon-fiber styling elements.
The standard M2 CS is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine that produces 523 horsepower. Senner Tuning has developed a carbon-fiber intake system and recalibrated the engine's computer, known as the ECU. This process boosts the output to 710 horsepower and 638 lb-ft of torque. For comparison, this power figure exceeds the 691 horsepower of the original Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4.
Beyond the engine, the vehicle receives significant chassis and aesthetic upgrades. The factory wheels are replaced with 21-inch Wheelforce R.2-FG forged rims, which are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. To manage the increased performance and improve handling, KW V4 Clubsport adjustable coilovers are installed. This type of suspension allows for fine-tuning of the car's ride height and damping for track use. Aesthetically, the car features a subtle carbon-fiber front splitter and a larger fixed ducktail spoiler on a carbon trunk lid.
This package is for owners who find the factory M2 CS, and even its M Performance options, to be insufficient. Unlike BMW’s own track kit, which leaves the engine untouched, Senner’s primary focus is a substantial power increase. The modifications are designed to create a more aggressive and capable vehicle, pushing it far beyond its original specifications. For further customization, Senner also offers hardware like HJS downpipes and sports exhaust systems from brands such as Akrapovic and Milltek, allowing owners to tailor the car's sound and performance.
