Nissan is gearing up to launch the refreshed 2026 Versa, with new details emerging about its modernized interior and updated features. While the exterior receives a facelift, the most significant changes are concentrated within the cabin, particularly in the higher trim levels, promising a more advanced and comfortable driving experience.
The 2026 Versa aims to be the "most technologically advanced sedan in its class," and the interior upgrades reflect this ambition. The range-topping Exclusive trim is set to impress with a large 12.3-inch infotainment system and a premium eight-speaker Bose audio system, complete with speakers integrated into the headrests. This trim also benefits from a wireless smartphone charger, lane departure prevention, and blind spot intervention systems.
Nissan will offer the Versa in three trims in Mexico. The entry-level Sense trim comes equipped with LED lighting, 15-inch steel wheels, six airbags, and a 9-inch infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety is bolstered by forward collision warning and emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The Sense CVT variant adds a start/stop button, cruise control, and rear parking sensors.
The Advance trim steps up with welcome lighting, 16-inch aluminum wheels, a four-speaker audio system, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. It also includes a passive entry system and an around-view monitor. This trim is also available with a CVT.
Under the hood, the 2026 Versa retains its 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 118 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. Buyers will have the choice between a manual gearbox and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), with power sent to the front wheels. While specific details for other markets are yet to be announced, the Mexican debut is scheduled for March 3rd.
