The UK-based tuner Chelsea Truck Company has released a “Heritage Remastered” package for the Ineos Grenadier. This series of modifications gives the modern 4x4 a distinct appearance inspired by limited-edition versions of the classic Land Rover Defender, creating a direct visual link to the vehicle's spiritual predecessor.
The primary version of the package takes its cues from the 2015 Land Rover Defender Heritage Edition. The Grenadier is finished in a green paint shade that closely resembles the original Grasmere Green, complemented by a contrasting white roof. The vehicle is fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels styled to mimic traditional steel wheels, enhancing its retro look. Custom metal bumpers and flared fenders further contribute to the vintage aesthetic. At the front, a new Lattice Mesh grille, inspired by Land Rovers of the 1940s, replaces the standard component.
Chelsea Truck Company also offers another version that pays homage to the 2008 Defender 110 SVX 60th Anniversary Edition. This build is based on the Grenadier Fieldmaster Edition and features an Inky Black paint job. Contrast is provided by a Volcanic Satin Silver finish on the grille, bumpers, door hinges, and wheels. For the interior, the package includes a re-trim in Old English Tan leather with quilted and perforated detailing, adding to the classic, upscale feel of the cabin.
These heritage packages are cosmetic, leaving the Grenadier's mechanical systems untouched. The vehicle retains its BMW-sourced 3.0-liter straight-six engine. A straight-six motor, which has all six cylinders in a line, is known for its inherent smoothness. The petrol version of this engine produces 282 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Torque is the twisting force that provides pulling power, which is essential for off-road driving and towing. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
The “Heritage Remastered” Grenadier is listed with a price of £79,999. For comparison, the standard Ineos Grenadier Station Wagon Fieldmaster Edition starts at £69,995. The price for the heritage styling and interior upgrades is therefore approximately £10,000. This offering is aimed at enthusiasts who appreciate the modern engineering and reliability of the Grenadier but prefer the iconic styling of the classic Defender it was designed to replace.
