Cadillac has unveiled an ultra-exclusive model, the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, to commemorate its entry into Formula 1. This limited-production vehicle is aimed at serious collectors and performance enthusiasts. Here is what you need to know about this special edition.

What is the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series?

This is a special edition of the CT5-V Blackwing, developed in collaboration with Formula 1 and the FIA. Production is strictly limited to 26 units for Canada and the United States, making it an immediate collector's item. The vehicle's purpose is to celebrate Cadillac's involvement in the highest tier of motorsport and offer a unique product to a select group of buyers.

How does its performance differ from the standard model?

The F1 Collector Series is the most powerful Blackwing ever produced by Cadillac. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine has been tuned to generate 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft of torque. This represents an increase of 17 hp and 14 lb-ft over the standard CT5-V Blackwing. The power gain comes from an upgraded supercharger, a result of collaboration with GM Motorsports. The engine is exclusively paired with a six-speed manual transmission, reinforcing its focus on driver engagement.

What are the unique design and equipment specifications?

Each of the 26 units comes equipped with the Precision Package, which includes a track-tuned suspension and carbon ceramic brakes for superior handling and stopping power. The exterior is finished in a unique Midnight Stone Frost paint with a carbon fiber body kit and Carbon Flash Metallic wheels. The interior features black leather sport seats with embossed F1 logos, a 3D-printed F1 shifter medallion, and "Cadillac Formula 1 Team" sill plates. A 33-inch driver information and infotainment display is standard.

What is the market position of this vehicle?

The CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series is not a mainstream vehicle but a highly specialized collector's piece. Its extremely limited production run and direct ties to Formula 1 place it in a niche market for dedicated brand enthusiasts and collectors of rare performance sedans. While the standard model starts at $98,900 before taxes and fees, this limited edition will command a significant premium due to its exclusivity, enhanced performance, and unique appointments.
