Ferrari is enhancing its four-door Purosangue for 2027 with a new "Handling Speciale" package. This configuration aims to sharpen the driving experience without compromising its usability. Here are the key details in a question-and-answer format.
The Handling Speciale is an optional configuration for the 2027 Purosangue, not a separate model. It is a factory-installed set of upgrades focused on making the vehicle handle better and feel more connected to the driver, particularly during spirited driving.
The improvements come from fine-tuning the car's existing systems. The active suspension, which uses computer-controlled shock absorbers, has been recalibrated to reduce body movements by 10 percent, making the vehicle's reactions more predictable. The 8-speed twin-clutch transmission also shifts faster in its sportiest modes. Finally, the sound of the V-12 engine has been enhanced inside the cabin for a more exciting experience during startup and acceleration.
According to Ferrari, the Handling Speciale upgrades do not negatively impact the Purosangue's daily drivability. The focus was on improving dynamic response through software and calibration, preserving the vehicle's versatility as a four-door, four-seat Ferrari.
The Handling Speciale package includes several exclusive cosmetic touches. These are unique wheels with a diamond-cut finish, carbon-fiber side shields, and matte black exhaust tips. The famous Prancing Horse emblem on the rear is finished in black, and a dedicated plaque inside identifies the vehicle as a Handling Speciale model.
The powertrain remains the same powerful 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine, producing 715 horsepower and 528 lb-ft of torque. The Handling Speciale is available to order now. While official U.S. pricing will be announced later in 2026, the estimated cost is between $550,000 and $600,000.
